1. CYLINDER USED FOR THE END USER
  • When the cylinder is received, please make sure the cylinder is well cap (Company seal and safety cap intact).
  • If you are not sure about safe use of LPG, ask the delivery person for a demonstration
  • Make sure cylinder is position in upright
  • The storage location shall be at well-ventilated area and away from ignition sources / fire / heat
  • When LPG cylinder store in the cabinet, make sure the area are well ventilated and there is no electrical switch and no flammable material. The ventilation for door’s cabinet must be locate at bottom part since LPG is heavier than air in case of leakages
  • Use an approved regulator and suit with the appliances supply pressure.
  • Domestic user usually use the low pressure regulator with 0.5Psi of outlet setting pressure. The hose use connection to the appliance must be approved type and secure properly with the hose clip. The low pressure hose shall comply with BS 3212
  • The commercial user usually uses high pressure regulator with 5psig of outlet setting pressure. The hose connection to the appliance must be approved type and secure properly with hose clip. The high pressure hose shall comply with BS 3212-2 or MS 773 or MS 2086
  • The connection shall frequently check against leakage by apply the snoop or soap water to the hose, burner connection, cylinder connection and regulatory body. Highly recommend to carry out every weekly.
  • The installation or any rectification works shall only be carried out by train person.
  • When there is a leakage, make sure to take safety measure by stop the cooking, secure the leakages, ventilate the area by open the window / exhaust ventilation. If the cylinder leakage, bring it to outside building and put away from any ignition source. Contact the dealer / distributor to arrange for emergency service / troubleshooting.
  • The old cylinder shall return to supplier to avoid seat valve / rubber valve passing
  • Get your gas appliances serviced periodically by train person / vendor. Self-repair is unsafe.
  • Remember to turn ‘off’ the regulator knob and then the stove knob every night, or when not in used
  • Never keep kerosene or other stoves on the floor where an LPG cylinder is in use
  • LPG being heavier than air, tends to settle at the ground level on leakage. If leakage is noticed, use all available ventilation to disperse the gas
  • Never leave gas cylinder / burner unattended– the content may overflow, extinguishing the flame and causing gas leakage
  • Do not panic when facing cylinder leak / fire. Use a fire extinguisher from upwind to stop the fire. In other method, use a wet cloth to stop the fire by cover up the leakage valve and stop the fire. Bring out the cylinder to outside

 

 

  1. CENTRALIZED LPG PIPING FOR END USER
  • When the cylinder is received, please make sure the cylinder is well cap (Company seal and safety cap intact).
  • If you are not sure about safe use of LPG, ask the delivery person and installer for a demonstration
  • Make sure cylinder is position in upright
  • The storage location shall be at well-ventilated area and away from ignition sources / fire / heat
  • Make sure to storage for the LPG cylinder located at outside building. The storage room shall be manage by Orang Bertanggungjawab only and it must be locked
  • The cylinder shall connect to the manifold and regulate down the supply pressure according to by Suruhanajaya Tenaga / JKKP.
  • The approved supply pressure for domestic and commercial building shall not over than 5 psig
  • The approved supply pressure for industrial building shall not over than 20 psig
  • The piping and accessories used shall be an approved type and it must getting the installation & operation approval from Suruhanajaya Tenaga / JKKP (trough ATI, ATO, PTI,PTO)
  • The cylinder used for commercial / industrial application shall be non-subsidized type. The gas shall be buy from authorized dealer, licenced under PDA 4, KPDNHEP
  • The commercial storage can be used ether cylinder, pig tank / baby tank and bulk tank. The tank designed under ASME code shall be qualified and valid through PMT registration by JKKP
  • The storage and location must be comply according to latest MS830
  • The piping to the equipment must be installed according to latest MS90
  • The reticulation system must comply with Gas Supply Act (act 501) and Gas Regulation 1997
  • The centralized piping to the kitchen shall provide with individual main valve and pressure gauge. The valve shall be closed after operation hour
  • Each equipment’s shall provide with termination valve for maintenance / repairing works
  • The installation or any rectification works shall only be carried out by train person.
  • When not using gas for long period, the main valve at gas storage shall be closed
  • The piping, gas burner and accessories shall carry out a frequent service and maintenance to avoid leakage /system failure
  • The complete system shall carry out an inspection by gas competence person. Domestic installation shall be inspect at least once every 3 years, while a commercial or industrial installation must be inspect at least once every 2 years
  • The centralized piping system shall get a valid gas license
  • The emergency valve provide at main pipe or LPG storage area can be used to total shut off the LPG supply to building in case of emergency
